Half Caged Episode 008 – Working out or training

Sorry about the delays in podcasts, had some upload dramas.

Short episode but hoping to be back on track soon for those few who listen ๐Ÿ™‚

The allure of simply working out can sometimes get in the way of our getting good at something specific like fight training. Exercise for the sake of exercise can be meditative and rewarding, it nets direct results but can lead one down a path away from efficiency and technical prowess.

  1. G’day mate! Dunno if you remember me, I was the bloke you messaged a decade ago now on that Aussie MMA forum (Millennium?), after i asked about training in Adelaide and you gave me Tyson Brown’s number. We are still good mates to this day! I also trained down at Willunga with you, but again, that was a loooong time ago.

ANYWAYS. Rhys and I were chatting about my writing after class, and he suddenly said that you’re a writer as well and started showing me your stuff on his phone. I just thought, cool!… here is this awesome fighter, who loves to write as well! Apart from the awesome fighter bit, I thought ‘I gotta check this out!’ as I thought it was cool that someone interested in MMA for as long, longer I’m sure, than I have, also was a writer

Lovin the variety of posts here mate. I shall be going back and reading through them when I have time. I look forward to hearing your podcast and thoughts.

All I have on my site is movie reviews ha! I’m a wannabe filmmaker. Though I am approaching the end of my novel (or novella) about my time in a cult disguised as a rehab centre, which people tend to enjoy. I’d really appreciate your feedback!

Anyways great site mate, keep up the good work. Keep on killing it ya beast! I shall be back here soon =]
